The Nord-Ost company was founded in 1993 and has been engaged in research and development activities since then.
The history of films began in the distant 70s, when two professors, Ivan Khristoforovich Gevorgyan, MD, and Garnik Aleksanovich Chukhadjyan, PhD, created a biocompatible polymer two-layer soluble film for use in oral surgery at the junction of several sciences. Later, through the efforts of Professor G.A. Chukhajyan (now an academician), they improved more and more, new components were introduced into the films, and at the moment, according to experts and consumers, the quality of the films is close to ideal. The films include more than 10 different components produced by world-renowned chemical and pharmaceutical companies.
During its existence, a number of new drugs have been created and patented, such as: Diplen-Denta films, a hemostatic drug with antiseptic action Catalugem, an antiseptic drug Alcasept, disinfectants Nordez and Okadez, the latter is successfully used to disinfect the Mir space station, as a Russian, and the American compartment. The company is currently developing new types of films, including those designed to effectively combat smoking. The films are also widely used in other fields of medicine, namely surgery, ophthalmology, proctology, gynecology, neurosurgery, etc.
